Indian seamers R Vinay Kumar and Irfan Pathan bowled their hearts out to help their team win a game that had been going the visitors' way. At a critical juncture in the 18th over, Vinay Kumar took two wickets of captain Brian Lara (46) and Tino Best, bringing them back into the tie. West Indies Legends were booted out of the tournament despite half-centuries from Dwayne Smith (63) and Narsingh Deonarine (59 not out).
The Indian Legends' dominant display with the bat saw them post a second consecutive 200-plus target after being put into bat first by the West Indies on a batting beauty. India scored 218 for three in 20 overs, carrying on Tendulkar's half-century and Yuvraj's thrilling 20-ball 49 not out, which included six sixes and a four. Sehwag (35), Yusuf Pathan (37) and Mohd Kaif (27) have contributed with the bat, in addition to Tendulkar and Yuvraj's vital knocks. Sehwag spearheaded India's attack by driving left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn through the covers in the first over.
When the bowlers pitched in his district, Sehwag didn't spare them. Until he returned a catch to seamer Tino Best, the pair put up a half-century partnership for the first wicket. He, who was in an attacking mood, was unstoppable, while Tendulkar took his time. Tendulkar went on to add another half-century to his previous game's number. He also had a 53-run stand with Kaif before being removed by Ryan Austin.
Tendulkar chipped Best's full delivery to Kirk Edwards at deep point, who came up with a superb effort on his way to a century. Later in the death overs, Yuvraj and Yusuf smashed the West Indies attack with some big hits. After those big hits, Yuvraj was caught at 49 not out. India, on the other hand, was dismissed for 218 in 20 overs. In the last two overs, the trendy southpaw smashed six sixes. Yuvraj struck leggie Mahendra Nagamootoo for four hits over the rope in the 19th over, with the next two coming in Sulieman Benn's final over.
