As time approaches to the upcoming T20 World Cup, the Indian team decided to ease the stress ahead of their second warm-up match against Western Australia XI on Thursday. They went on a fun trip to the renowned Wildlife sanctuary at Rottnest Island- a small Island located 19 km away from the coast of Perth. The trip was an idea of the team's strength and conditioning coach Paddy Upton.
Board of Control on Cricket (BCCI) shared the pictures and clips of the team and staff having a good time on their official social media handle. During the trip they also celebrated Hardik Pandya’s birthday by cutting a cake. The said trip will allowed the team to have some relaxation and time away from hectic schedule as per head coach Rahul Dravid.
The team went to see Quokkas, the local animals of the island and they take a picture with the little guy. Head coach Rahul Dravid confessed that their journey a bit challenging but once they reached the island it felt worth it.
The fans enjoyed their favorite cricketers having fun and relaxing before the upcoming World Cup.
The team will fight with Western Australia XI (WA IX) on Thursday in Perth as part of their preparation for the world cup. In their previous game India beat the WA XI by 13 runs.
