Whatever way you playing bingo, either in bingo hall or an online bingo site, you always wants the odds to be in your favor. There are a few tips you can use to enhance the odds to win in bingo games. Since bingo is a simple game to understand, the strategy to increase your chance to win are equally simple.
Beating the odds at bingo is mainly pure luck and it is good news to new players as it means everyone has equal chance, even if you are an expert players or a beginners.
There are few things you can do to enjoy your playing and increase your chances of winning. Keep reading as we share our tips with you in this article.
Timing is Important
Of course, how long you play depends largely on when you are available! If you have some flexibility, it's best to avoid rush hours like weekends, lunchtime, or evenings.
The number of players does not always influence the size of the jackpot. However, at certain times there will be multiple people competing for the same payment.
Having the opportunity to play at quieter times, such as early in the morning, late afternoon or evening, can greatly increase your chances of winning.
Since bingo is largely a game of chance, you will lose a game at some point. And then another. Your luck may change at some point, but it's impossible to predict exactly when.
Before you sit down to play, create a budget by writing the amount you are willing to lose on a sticky note and highlighting it. Once you reach that amount, stop. If there is something left in the pot, you can always budget it for next time.
Examine and Compare
Although most websites are safe and reputable, you still need to choose carefully.
Ask your friends for recommendations or use a comparison site that will give you honest reviews. Many sites offer different features and methods of play, so a comparison site is a quick and effective way to find the one that suits you best.
Choose your cards
Most sites allow you to purchase multiple cards, increasing your chances of getting a specific number. While this can be a useful strategy, it can also be confusing for beginners - there's nothing more frustrating than realizing you had a number, but it wasn't on the card you were looking at.
To fix this, some websites also have an "auto-dab" feature that automatically flags your card. But other than that, our advice is to start small and focus on one or two cards at a time.
Find new friends
One of the best things about playing bingo online is the ability to join online forums or chat rooms. It's a great way to find out about new bingo sites, what prizes are up for grabs, or if the sites have bonus games.
Try a strategy
Ok, we have to admit that there are no real strategies because all online games should use random number generators. However, with thousands of pounds in prizes up for grabs these days, it's no surprise that one or two people have developed formal strategies over the years. There are two bingo strategies to help you.
Formed by American stockbroker and financial writer Joseph Granville. He believed it was possible to identify a pattern in bingo numbers, even if those numbers are random. He calculated the odds of certain number sequences and thought choosing the right card was the most important part of any bingo game.
The ideal card contains a roughly even distribution between odd and even numbers and low and high numbers and should contain as many numbers as possible whose last digit is different. For example, a card with the numbers 21, 65, 74 and 36 is better than a card with the numbers 21, 31, 44, 51.
Another theory was developed by London-born statistician Leonard Tippett. His idea was much simpler. In a 75 ball game, the more balls called, the closer they are likely to be to the median, which in this case is 38. The median is the number in the middle of the range and technically that would be 37 .5 here, but it's been rounded up.
For example, the first numbers called will tend to be at one end or the other of the number range, and as the game progresses the numbers should "cluster" around the middle.
Online bingo is about excitement and emotional ups and downs, but most of all it's about taking a few minutes out of the day to relax and have fun. And this is the real goal of the game.
