Pathum Nissanka, Sri Lanka's opener, scored 72 runs while the rest of the top order struggled and Sri Lanka lost wickets at the other end while chasing a massive total. Despite Dhananjaya de Silva's impressive 47 runs in 40 balls against India, captain Dasun Shanaka continued his stellar play by scoring an unbeaten 108 runs in 88 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes.
