The Asia Cup 2022 is the 15th edition of the Asia Cup cricket tournament, with matches played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in August and September 2022 in the UAE.
On July 21, 2022, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) informed the ACC that they would not be able to host the tournament due to the economic and political crisis in the country. On July 27, 2022, the ACC confirmed that the tournament would be played in the United Arab Emirates, with Sri Lanka Cricket acting as the tournament hosts.
